Where women's trouser fit fails — and how bespoke corrects it
The waist-to-hip ratio is the primary problem. A woman with a 26-inch waist and 38-inch hips will find that any trouser sized for one measurement is wrong for the other. Bespoke resolves this by cutting the trouser to both measurements simultaneously, using a side seam and back seam that accommodate both without compromise.
The rise — the distance from waistband to crotch seam — is equally variable. A low-rise trouser on a woman who prefers a mid or high rise sits uncomfortably and looks ungainly; a high-rise trouser on a woman who prefers a lower rise is equally uncomfortable. Bespoke sets the rise to your preference and your body.
We make women's trousers in cigarette (slim, clean), straight-leg (a classic professional silhouette), and wide-leg (generous and elegant) cuts, in a full range of cloths from fine worsted to linen to cotton.
